HOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS
LifeVac uses negative-pressure suction to dislodge airway obstructions instantly. It doesn't
require compression, positioning, or strength, which is why it works where traditional methods
can't.
Two mask sizes, pediatric and adult, ensure a complete seal over the mouth and nose. Without that seal, suction doesn't work. With it, pressure builds instantly.
A single firm push compresses the bellows. When you pull back, the chamber creates targeted suction force, up to 4× what a person can generate with lungs alone.
Once the airway clears, a built-in safety valve stops the dislodged food or object from being drawn back in, something even experienced medical staff can struggle with in field conditions.
The Heimlich relies on compression, forcing air from the lungs upward. It fails when the person is too small, too frail, lying down, or alone. LifeVac works on suction from above, which doesn't require body positioning, strength, or a second rescuer.

it fits in your family.

You can't perform the Heimlich on yourself. LifeVac is one of the only choking devices designed to be used on yourself, by yourself, when there's no one else there.
Swallowing difficulties and weakened reflexes make choking risk rise sharply with age. LifeVac gives families a safe, painless way to act, even on dementia patients who don't respond to traditional methods.
