HOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS

The same airway-clearance principle
paramedics have used for decades, now
simple enough for anyone.

LifeVac uses negative-pressure suction to dislodge airway obstructions instantly. It doesn't
require compression, positioning, or strength, which is why it works where traditional methods
can't.

LIVE DEMO NexBreath live demo
1

The silicone mask forms an airtight seal

Two mask sizes, pediatric and adult, ensure a complete seal over the mouth and nose. Without that seal, suction doesn't work. With it, pressure builds instantly.

2

Pushing the plunger creates controlled negative pressure

A single firm push compresses the bellows. When you pull back, the chamber creates targeted suction force, up to 4× what a person can generate with lungs alone.

3

A one-way valve prevents the obstruction from re-entering

Once the airway clears, a built-in safety valve stops the dislodged food or object from being drawn back in, something even experienced medical staff can struggle with in field conditions.

🧬

Why this works where the Heimlich can't

The Heimlich relies on compression, forcing air from the lungs upward. It fails when the person is too small, too frail, lying down, or alone. LifeVac works on suction from above, which doesn't require body positioning, strength, or a second rescuer.

IS LIFEVAC RIGHT FOR YOU?

When 911 is too far. When Heimlich isn't
working. When back blows fail.

LifeVac is the backup method built for the moments every other option runs out. See where
it fits in your family.

Family with kids

For families with kids

Choking is a leading cause of accidental death in children under 4. LifeVac fits in a diaper bag, a kitchen drawer, or a car console, wherever your family is.

Person eating alone

For people who eat alone

You can't perform the Heimlich on yourself. LifeVac is one of the only choking devices designed to be used on yourself, by yourself, when there's no one else there.

Caregiver helping an aging parent

For caregivers & aging parents

Swallowing difficulties and weakened reflexes make choking risk rise sharply with age. LifeVac gives families a safe, painless way to act, even on dementia patients who don't respond to traditional methods.

GOT QUESTIONS?
WE HAVE ANSWERS

The Home Kit includes:
- LifeVac device
- Adult mask
- Pediatric mask
- Practice mask
- Instructions for use
- Choking prevention and safety tips
The practice mask is designed to help you get comfortable using LifeVac—just insert it into the device and practice on a flat surface like a table. If you are able to achieve suction, you have succeed. After practicing, we recommend storing it back in its pink packaging, separate from the other masks, as it’s a helpful tool to keep for occasional refreshers or to show others how to use the device.
While every LifeVac kit includes the device, an adult mask, and a pediatric mask, each one offers additional unique features: - Home Kit—Includes an additional mask, intended for practice, to help individuals familiarize themselves with how to use the life-saving device. - Travel Kit—Designed for those who already have a Home Kit and want an extra unit to take on the go. It comes in a yellow, pink, or blue zip-up bag—perfect for keeping in your car, luggage, or diaper bag.
Since food accounts for over 50% of all choking emergencies, we recommend storing your Home Kit somewhere near where people eat. Most people choose to keep it in their kitchen, inside an easily accessible cabinet.
